With over £30 billion of support in place to aid the economic recovery of our local communities in 2021, Fareham College is working with employers across the Solent region to deliver a range of initiatives – including Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) in Construction and Digital Skills for Business, free Online Courses, free Level 3 courses for eligible adults, the Kickstart scheme, and Skills Bootcamps – designed to support unemployed residents of all ages into work and upskill existing employees to meet the needs of industry.
Fareham College Principal and Chief Executive, Andrew Kaye comments, “In addition to the current incentives already launched by the Government to assist the country’s economic recovery, we welcome the Chancellor’s announcement of an additional £126million to further increase Traineeship numbers as well as the financial increase to the incentives for employers taking on Apprentices.
From April, employers will be able to claim £3,000 per apprentice they hire, regardless of the apprentice’s age.
At Fareham College, our Business Plus Team is expertly placed to assist your business on the road to economic recovery and take advantage of the array of government incentives currently available to boost your workforce.”
