I chose to undertake this course to bolster my CV and make myself more employable. I really enjoyed the work placement, as it was close to my desired field of work and has led to job position at that company.
The Barbering course at Fareham College is excellent. I travel from Southampton to study two days a week, which works really well for me. I’m planning on progressing onto the Level 3 Barbering course, once I complete my Level 2 here at Fareham College, and hope to own my own barber shop in the future.
I love studying at Fareham College as I have made progress that I never thought was possible. I have learnt from a very supportive team, as well as a Professional Coach who has given me confidence in myself both personally and professionally. Fareham College is always looking to help people achieve and progress, and I can’t wait to start working towards my Level 5 in HR Consultant/Partner qualification.
I really enjoy my course as it is very practical. I have also been given an insight into future careers, and really enjoyed my work experience. It has been great to meet so many new people and to be able to study somewhere just outside of Portsmouth.
The course has provided me with relevant industry training, and I feel like I have been equipped with everything I need to excel. I am well supported by my lecturer and have recommended Fareham College to others as a great place to come to study as an adult learner.
I chose Fareham College due to locality; it is easily accessible and close to home. The course is great, and I have a very supportive tutor. Taking out the Advanced Learner Loan was really easy, and it made studying this course possible. The only upfront cost was for the kit and uniform, the course fees don’t have to be paid back until I earn £25,000 a year or more.
I live in Southampton and travel by bus each day to college. It takes me 20 minutes to walk to the bus stop from my house, and then the bus journey takes 40 minutes. I chose Fareham College because I really liked the campus, it has a very modern look and the there is lots of support available for students.
