Fareham College showed off its creative side with the return of its annual Creative Industries Showcase, the College’s unique, and popular, festival-style open evening that presents the amazing talents of its students through live shows and performances.
Taking place at the Bishopsfield Road campus and co-produced by the students taking part; the event treated families, friends, teaching staff and local employers to a mixture of live music, dramatic theatre performances, extravagant hair and make-up designs and impressive student films.
Hospitality and catering students from the College’s award-winning restaurant, Avenue 141 were also on hand to whip up some culinary creativity, with a demonstration of wine pairing with canapés and sizzling flambé.
Preparation for the event began in March, with students asked to base their final projects on any theme or subject specialism they wish to progress onto.
Christian Allen-Kotze, Faculty Director Creative Industries at Fareham College, said:
“Thanks to the amazing facilities and exemplary training Fareham College provides, we succeed in attracting some truly amazing creative talent that we are able to nurture, develop and offer excellent destinations to higher education and industry.
“Our students really delivered once again with some exceptional work covering a wide variety of creative subjects. I’m incredibly proud of all the students that took part this year and am thankful to the staff and guests that helped to make the evening a success.”
