[vc_row type=”3″][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row margin_top=”40″ margin_bottom=”40″ type=”3″][vc_column][vc_column_text]Fareham College has offered a warm welcome to a group of 26 Hospitality & Catering students from the Lycee Professionnel Pontarcher – a specialist college situated in Vesoul, France.
As part of a visit to the UK, the group was offered the chance to work alongside Fareham College’s own students in the highly acclaimed Avenue 141 restaurant. Together they learned a range of delightful British culinary techniques and dishes, and were each presented with a certificate in honour of their participation and international collaboration.
To continue this rewarding partnership, a long-term project was initiated, with the aim to develop a joint international repertoire of recipes and dishes that each organisation can use in their training and their respective restaurants.
Cecile Plaisance, a tutor accompanying the students, commented;
“The visit to Fareham College has been a highlight for the students’ first visit to the UK and will hopefully lead to a long-term relationship between Fareham College and Lycee Professionnel Pontercher.”
Nigel Duncan, Principal and Chief executive of Fareham College complemented the Pontarcher students on their skills, professionalism and maturity. He said;
“Fareham College is very proud to be able to host this visit from such a prestigious organisation in France and looks forward to creating a mutually beneficial partnership going forward. It has been an excellent experience for Fareham College’s students to meet and work with students from a culinary capital of France.”
We hope that our Fareham College students make a return visit to Pontarcher during the next academic year, where they will experience French culture and cuisine.[/vc_column_text]
